PoVE Water Week 18. January Merje Mölter
MENDELU team is inviting VET students and teachers to take part of Water Days in Brno.
Mendel University is one of the PoVE Water Scale-up partner organisations. International Water Week will be organised again this year: from 18th to 27th of March 2024 students from different VET schools take part of the event and learn about water role in the landscaping, forestry and agriculture, how science can support saving the precious resource; also students have an opportunity to take part of the field trips (take measurements, test) and use university's laboratory. Similar event - International PoVE Water Week, more focused on drinking water and water treatment - took place in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands in September 2023. Students from JKHK also took part of this training session.
JKHK's student Kadri Sokk, who took part of both mobilities, made a conclusion: "I learned about the different problems of two different countries - one is working to ensure that there is water and the other is to ensure that there is not too much water!".
